Unique Mediterranean restaurant in a strip mall setting. Order at the counter and have a seat the friendly staff will bring delicious food shortly. If you are not sure what to order the staff behind the counter can assist. I had a simple beef kabob plate with three sides, hummus, Mediterranean rice, and pita bread. Generous portions were served. The others in our party had various other menu items and they all complimented on the freshness and taste. If in the area I'll stop again.
Great food! My husband got the daily steak special which was: steak gyro, fries, and a drink for 9.99 (in this economy?? What a steal!). The fries were so crispy and the gyros were delicious. Highly recommend!
Want something different that's full of flavor and is served by friendly folks? Try Charlie's Kabob Grill in Wake Forest! Totally worth the effort to find them a tad off the beaten path. They've got an array of Middle Eastern delights, both sweet AND savory. Eat in if you'd enjoy listening to relaxing music and just take a break. Or get it to go and feast on your own. Both work great! Today, I tried their Garden Bowl with a chicken kabob added. Utterly delicious combination of falafel, lettuces, chickpeas, tahini, pasta, grilled vegetables, etc, etc, with whole wheat pita to help scoop up all the healthy goodness. Yum!! I was a little naughty and tried the irresistible warm Lebanese donuts! They gave my favorite churros a run for their money! I'd suggest you get some baklava to take home for later.... if you can wait. The staff are all delightfully patient and super helpful. If you're not sure what to order, just ask for some great ideas. They cater, too, and I bet it's spectacular. While I ate, a stream of delivery folks came through, and they were treated with the same friendly helpfulness as everyone else. Really impressive! I know I'll be back and will probably love other menu items just as much.
Delicious! Absolutely recommend the Phoenix Gyro, chicken kabab , tzatziki and hummus. Fries were great too! We’ll be back soon.
I think my first time at Charlie's is representative of what kind of place this is. I have never had food like the kind served here before. Farrah, the kind lady working at the counter, took the time to walk me through the menu. She even let me sample many of the dishes they had on the menu so I could find out what I liked! Spoiler alert, they were all incredible. After I decided on what I wanted to get, I took it home and devoured it. The food here is incredible, and the service is fantastic. This place is absolutely worth your time, money, and taste buds. Run, do not walk, and get over here!
The food was fantastic. The cashier who assisted us was the BEST! I wish I'd gotten his name. But he was a polite, thoughtful and knowledgeable employee. He got tips from us. I'd definitely go back. Loved it!
